Dr Sarah Jarvis joins IBEX as Chief Medical Advisor

We are delighted to welcome Sarah Jarvis, MBE to IBEX as our Chief Medical Advisor. Sarah brings with her a wealth of clinical experience and #Osteoporosis is a condition that is close to her heart. She has recently become an ambassador for the Royal Osteoporosis Society.

Sarah will be helping to guide us to ensure that IBEX Bone Health software delivers maximum impact for patients.

“I am delighted to be joining such a great team at IBEX. I was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis myself, despite not having typical risk factors, and I’m passionate about raising awareness and increasing access to screening.

More than 1 in 3 women, and 1 in 5 men, will fracture a bone as a result of osteoporosis. All too often with osteoporosis we are waiting for failure, not making a diagnosis until a life has been ruined. It is high time we started being more proactive about earlier diagnosis in osteoporosis – and increasing access to accurate risk predictors, particularly bone mineral density, is fundamental to this. With waiting lists for DEXA scanning unacceptably long in many areas, software which can accurately identify high-risk individuals from X-ray would be a real game-changer.”
