As reported in the Summer edition of Durham County News, lab technician Jordan Hall has enrolled on the HNC Instrumentation and Control Engineering Level Four course at Teesside University, helped by funding support from Durham County Council's Higher Level Skills Programme. IBEX is the first employer to access this funding.
Neil Loxley, Chief Executive Officer, said, "Staff development is a key priority for IBEX, but can be a significant investment for an early-stage business, so we were really pleased to have received 50% support towards the course costs".
Jordan started work at IBEX as an Apprentice Technician in May 2013, and was then employed full-time.
About IBEX Innovations Limited
IBEX Innovations Limited (IBEX) is a venture capital backed technology business focused on the commercialisation of patented X-ray detector technology for medical and industrial imaging markets. The IBEX technology, which retrofits to existing X-ray detectors, recovers spectral information normally lost in digital X-ray imaging to classify materials in the sample and deliver improved detection of defects and impurities. IBEX is developing applications for its technology in multiple industrial markets including food inspection and NDT, and for medical radiography where the technology is expected to generate improved diagnostic images at reduced patient dose.
