Product (Marketing) Manager

The Opportunity

IBEX is seeking an outstanding Product (Marketing) Manager to lead go-to-market activities for the IBEX Trueview® medical X-ray imaging software products.

Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will take responsibility for developing an effective marketing strategy, creating compelling product messaging in print and digital media and for maintaining effective and consistent communication with our target OEM customers and the end-user clinical community. The Product Marketing Manager will also support sales and business development through direct interactions with target customers.

The ideal candidate will have several year’s hands-on experience in product marketing of high technology products, preferably in the medical imaging market. You will have the proven ability to understand customer requirements and communicate the value of new technologies in a complex technical market environment.

The role offers the opportunity to work within an exciting and fast-moving technology company and to be influential in securing market adoption for its world-leading imaging products.

IBEX is a venture-capital backed technology company commercialising a patented X-ray detector technology for the $15bn medical imaging market. IBEX Trueview® software dramatically improves image quality and generates new diagnostic outputs to generate improved clinical workflow and better patient outcomes.

Based in the beautiful countryside of Sedgefield in County Durham, the company currently employs a team of 24 highly skilled scientists, engineers, mathematicians and business professionals in a stimulating and friendly working environment where we all take pride in our jobs and are excited by the innovative and creative work we do.

The Role:

The primary functions of the role will be to:

  • Develop and manage an effective marketing strategy and plan
  • Obtain insights into the competitive environment and optimise product pricing
  • Create product messaging to communicate value to target customers and differentiate Trueview from other medical imaging software products
  • Create and manage promotional marketing materials including product fliers, application notes, case studies and web content
  • Plan and manage tradeshow attendance
  • Create effective and consistent communication with target customers and the end-user clinical community
  • Support sales and business development through customer visits and presentations
  • Work with the applications team on customer demonstrations and applications development
  • Provide the voice of the customer to technology and business roadmaps

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager in a high technology business, preferably in the medical imaging market
  • The ability to define and communicate value in a complex, high technology product and market
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent technical writing and graphic design skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships internally and with prospective and existing customers
  • Able to adapt readily to new tasks and changing priorities
  • Direct experience in Product Management of medical imaging products would be a distinct advantage.

 

Qualifications

Candidates must have:

  • A Degree in a physics or engineering discipline with the ability to demonstrate high levels of marketing competence. An additional marketing qualification would be a distinct advantage.
  • We may consider candidates with degrees in Marketing or Communications if they are able to demonstrate high levels of technical understanding and relevant experience in a high technology sales and marketing position.

Applications Scientist

The Opportunity:

IBEX Innovations Limited is seeking an experienced Applications Scientist to join our rapidly expanding Application Team. Reporting to the CTO, you will play an important role in the commercialisation of the IBEX Trueview® technology and in guiding future technology and product development to meet customer needs. This is primarily an outward-facing role and the successful candidate will be expected to interact regularly with customers as well as clinical and development partners. 

The ideal candidate will have a first-class degree or a PhD in a physics, medical imaging or engineering discipline. Commercial experience including applications development in customer-facing roles would be a significant advantage.

The position offers a unique opportunity for the right individual to have a direct influence in the successful commercialisation of the IBEX Trueview® technology and the future success of IBEX.

 

About IBEX:

IBEX is a technology business in the advanced stages of commercialisation of a patented X-ray detector technology for medical X-ray imaging markets. IBEX Trueview® technology improves diagnostic image quality and adds important new diagnostic outputs such as the measurement of bone density for early detection of osteoporosis. Having already successfully demonstrated its performance and clinical value, the company is expecting rapid adoption by major medical imaging OEMs in the coming year.

Based in modern offices on the NETPark Science Park in beautiful County Durham, IBEX currently employs 25 highly skilled staff including graduate scientists, mathematicians, software engineers, technicians and business professionals.

 

The primary responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Assist with the development of customer opportunities through data analysis, report preparation and presentation
  • Undertake demonstrations to prospective and existing customers at both IBEX and customer facilities
  • Promote the IBEX technology, including attendance at scientific conferences and trade shows
  • Input market and customer feedback to product and technology roadmaps and software specifications
  • Develop strong technical relationships with customers and assist the Commercial Director in closing sales opportunities
  • Be an individual contributor to applications and technology development programs

 

Candidates must possess the following essential skills and experience:

  • Degree in a physics, medical imaging or engineering discipline
  • Strong practical scientific and engineering skills
  • Good working knowledge and competency in scientific programming (for example MATLAB, Python, FORTRAN, R)
  • Experience of customer facing applications in a commercial high-technology environment
  • Excellent technical writing, communication and presentation skills
  • A “can-do” attitude and ability to get things done with minimal day-day management

 

Additional skills and qualities which would be beneficial:

  • Relevant knowledge and experience of X-ray imaging methods and applications
  • Direct experience of medical X-ray imaging methods and markets
